Schon vor dem Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck um 7 Uhr erblickten wir das erste Nashorn von der Aussichtsplattform. Vormittags fuhren wir mit einem Kanu \u00fcber den Rapti-Fluss, der die n\u00f6rdliche Grenze des Nationalparks bildet. Hier sahen wir einige (ungef\u00e4hrliche) Gharial-Krokodile und Wasserv\u00f6gel. Die Gharial-Krokodile sind vom Aussterben bedroht, sodass es eine Aufzuchtstation gibt, die wir anschlie\u00dfend im einsetzenden Regen besuchten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery Uhr ging es im Safari-Jeep wieder los. Trotz Regen beobachteten wir zahlreiche Nash\u00f6rner, Rehe und V\u00f6gel. Die Pfaue schrien und sa\u00dfen in den B\u00e4umen und lie\u00dfen Erinnerungen an den Tierpark aufkommen. Bengalische Tiger sind sehr scheu und hielten sich daher versteckt. Statt wilden Elefanten sahen wir immerhin Armee-Elefanten, die beim Schutz des Nationalparks helfen, da Tiger sie nicht angreifen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images sah Mathias noch ein Nashorn im Wasser. Im Dunkeln begleitete uns meist ein Hotel-Mitarbeiter.
