Inkl. Abendessen und kleinem Fr\u00fchst\u00fcckssnack blieb also nicht mehr viel Zeit zum Schlafen. Wir kamen p\u00fcnktlich halb sieben in Kathmandu an, was sich f\u00fcr uns wie mitten in der Nacht anf\u00fchlte. Nepal hat eine Zeitverschiebung nach Deutschland von +3 Stunden und 45 Minuten. Wir sahen im Morgendunst den Himalaya im Sonnenaufgang, bevor wir in Nepal selbst in den Dunst eintauchten und \u00fcber einen grauen Flughafen liefen. Die Immigration ging dank vorheriger Online-Anmeldung gut von statten. Wir mussten vor Ort nur noch das \u201eVisa-On-Arrival\u201c in US-Dollar bezahlen und zum Grenzbeamten gehen. Nun haben wir einen Nepal-Sticker samt Stempel im Reisepass. Nach dem wir unsere Koffer vom Band zogen, holten wir uns noch eine lokale SIM-Karte f\u00fcr mobiles Internet direkt am Flughafen. Am Ausgang trafen wir dann auf unsere Reisegruppe und unseren deutschsprachigen, nepalesischen Reisef\u00fchrer. In einem kleinen Bus ging es direkt ins Hotel, wo wir nach kurzer Wartezeit schon am Vormittag eingecheckten konnten. Die \u201eWartezeit\u201c bis zum Tagesprogramm ab 12 Uhr verbrachten wir mit einem kleinen Schl\u00e4fchen, das sehr wohl tat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um 12 Uhr trafen wir uns dann f\u00fcr einen Spaziergang in die nahegelegenen Altstadt Kathmandus. \u00dcber belebte Stra\u00dfen, vorbei an hupenden Motorr\u00e4dern und verkehrsregelnden Polizisten ging es in kleine und dennoch viel-befahrenen Gassen. Im MONA, dem Museum of Nepali Art, schauten wir uns tolle, moderne Kunst an, die zumeist Buddha im Mittelpunkt darstellte. Mit einem kleinen H\u00fcngerchen ging es direkt in das angeschlossene Hotel-Restaurant zum Mittagessen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped Eine Buddhistische Stupa, obwohl die meisten Nepalesen Hindus sind. Diese hier wird auch gern der \u201eAffen-Tempel\u201c genannt. Oben hatten wir ausreichend Zeit die verschiedenen Ecken zu erkunden, unz\u00e4hlige Gebetsfahren im Wind flackern zu sehen und am Ende kam sogar die Sonne raus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure Hotel. Hier g\u00f6nnten wir uns nur noch den Welcome-Drink im Restaurant auf der Dachterrasse im 9. Stock, sowie ein einheimisches Abendessen.
