Doch die halbe Stunde Zeitverschiebung seit Sydney und das zeitige schlafen gehen hatten sich dann doch bemerkbar gemacht. Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck hatten wir im Hotel keines gebucht, sodass wir uns ein Caf\u00e9 in der Nachbarschaft suchten. Die Kinder wollten gern noch einmal Eggs Benedict (\u201eEggs Benny\u201c) essen und so genossen wir nochmal ein gro\u00dfes Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck. Anschlie\u00dfend ging es mit Badesachen best\u00fcckt zur Badelagune. Der dortige Wasserpark wollte ausgekundschaftet werden. Um 12 Uhr durften Denise und die Kinder erst rein, sodass vorher schon die Chance auf ein erfrischendes Bad in dem ca. 26\u00b0C warmen Wasser bestand. Im Wasserpark hatten sie dann eine Stunde Zeit und ganz viel Spa\u00df. Mathias schaute derweil von au\u00dfen zu und schoss Fotos. Die Badelagune wird \u00fcbrigens mit einer Wasserpumpe aus dem Meer gef\u00fcllt und kann dann \u00fcber einen \u00dcberlauf wieder abflie\u00dfen. Damit wird sichergestellt, dass keine giftigen Quallen ins Wasser kommen und das Wasser frisch bleibt. Der gro\u00dfe, steinige Deich h\u00e4lt dann wiederum die Krokodile davon ab, auch ein wenig im Wasserpark zu spielen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default Taxi zum Wohnmobilverleiher. Da dieser am Wochenende geschlossen hat, durften wir unser Wohnmobil schon heute abholen, obwohl wir erst morgen, am Samstag damit losfahren werden. Nach einer Einweisung fuhren wir mit dem riesigen Auto vom Hof. Zum Gl\u00fcck sind die Stra\u00dfen in Darwin ausreichend breit! Vom Hotel aus ging es dann in ein Caf\u00e9 f\u00fcr einen Nachmittagssnack (dauerhungrige Kinder k\u00f6nnen unausstehlich werden, wenn nicht regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Nachschub geliefert wird \ud83d\ude09 ). W\u00e4hrend Denise in einem lokalen Laden die ein oder andere Hose und Rock anprobierte, gingen die Kinder und Mathias noch ein Eis essen. Damit waren wir ausreichend gest\u00e4rkt f\u00fcr den Gro\u00dfeinkauf &#8211; der angesichts der begrenzten Platzverh\u00e4ltnisse nat\u00fcrlich nicht zu gro\u00df ausfallen bringen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Angesichts der dann doch schon fortgeschrittenen Zeit brachten wir die Eink\u00e4ufe nur schnell ins Hotelzimmer und fuhren noch einmal los zum Mindil Beach &#8211; hier kann man den Sonnenuntergang \u00fcber dem Wasser beobachten, was vielen Australien an der Ostk\u00fcste im t\u00e4glichen Leben verwehrt bleibt.<br>Abendessen gab es dann beim Darwin Festival. Was genau gefeiert wird, wissen wir gar nicht, aber es gab im Civic Park diverse Essenst\u00e4nde und ganz viele Sitzm\u00f6glichkeiten. Am Freitagabend war da nat\u00fcrlich ordentlich was los, sodass die Kinder 20 Minuten geduldig auf ihre Pizza warten mussten. Der Verleiher meinte schon, dass der Handyempfang weg sein wird, sobald wir Darwin verlassen. Es wird hier also wieder etwas ruhiger werden.
