Nat\u00fcrlich deckten wir uns gleich mal mit etwas lokalem Obst ein. Erdbeeren im November? Daran k\u00f6nnen wir uns gew\u00f6hnen&#8230;<br \/>\nIn Pismo Beach bestaunten wir die Monarch Falter, die wie tausende Bl\u00e4tter in den Eukalyptusb\u00e4umen hingen.<br \/>\nDanach folgte der sch\u00f6nste Abschnitt des Highway No 1: die fast 200km kurvige K\u00fcstenstra\u00dfe zwischen Morro Bay und Monterey.<br \/>\nDie Morro Bay empfing uns mit Regen. Trotzdem waren wir solange es ging am Strand. Papa und Flori wieder beim Burgen bauen und Mama und Laura beim Sanddollar aufsammeln. Wei\u00df eigentlich jemand ob man 1kg Sanddollar ausf\u00fchren darf? \ud83d\ude00<br \/>\nAuf unserem weiteren Weg wurden die sandigen hellen Str\u00e4nde langsam felsige raue K\u00fcstenlandschaft. Hinter San Simeon \u00fcberraschten uns die Seeelefanten, die ganz nah am Strand und im Wasser waren.<br \/>\nDas Wetter wurde nicht wirklich besser und so tr\u00f6pfelte es auch auf unserer kurzen Wanderung zum McWay Wasserfall im Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. Das besondere an ihm ist, dass er in einer malerischen Bucht direkt auf den Strand bzw. bei Flut ins Meer f\u00e4llt.<br \/>\nLetzte Nacht standen wir dann in Big Sur unter Redwood B\u00e4umen. Man war das schlammig. Und \u00fcber trockene Luft k\u00f6nnen wir uns nun nicht mehr beschweren&#8230;<br \/>\nAbends fiel dort im Campingplatz dann auch der Strom aus und es lief nur noch der riesige Generator.<br \/>\nEtwas sonniger war es dann heute in Carmel, sodass wir endlich mal unsere Campingtisch und -st\u00fchle zum Mittagessen rausholen konnten. Super lecker unsere Garnelen-Nudeln mit Ausblick auf tosende Wellen.<br \/>\nDer 17-mile drive entpuppte sich leider eher als Rundfahrt zwischen Golfpl\u00e4tzen und mannshohen Z\u00e4unen, die Villen abschirmen.
